Nordson EFD Celebrates 60 Years of Innovation
John Carter, founder of EFD, started the company in 1963 with $1000 from the basement of his Rhode Island home. From humble beginnings, the Electron Fusion Devices company grew to become a leading producer of precision industrial dispensing syringes and valves. In 2000, the company was acquired by ¶¶ÒõÊÓƵ. Over the past 60 years, Nordson EFD has transformed from a niche provider focused on solving metal joining challenges for jewelry designers to manufacturing precision dispensing and fluid packaging systems that apply accurate, consistent amounts of the adhesives, sealants, lubricants, and other assembly fluids used in virtually every manufacturing process.
